A Fun and Summery Family Portrait Session Celebrating Mom + Dad’s 40th Anniversary at the Acton Arboretum - CONCORD, LEXINGTON, ACTON AREA NATURAL LIGHT OUTDOOR FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

The Acton Arboretum is a small but lovely little gem just about 20 min from downtown Concord and 40 or so minutes from Boston.  Meadows and gardens with ample seating punctuate the twisting paths, perfect for a relaxed family portrait session with babies, young children, or elders. Cristina and Maria wanted to gift a beautiful family session to their parents on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary, as well as to celebrate the newest member of the family.  While I don’t usually shoot extended family sessions, I knew this family was going to be special to work with - and I was not disappointed!  They were hilarious and sweet, and I am honored to have captured this brief time they all had together (with three adult children and their partners, the family is strewn across the states and internationally) on a sticky hot but absolutely lovely summer afternoon in Acton.  Thank you guys, so glad to have been able to capture this gathering to celebrate your anniversary/mimi-family-reunion!

Not all babies love the camera, but this little guy was nothing but curious and adorable the whole time!  Must be at least partly thanks to his laid-back mama and papa.

I asked the family matriarch, Maria, what the secret to a long and happy marriage was - her answer? Patience ;)
