A Sunny and Connected Family Session - concord, lexington, acton, lincoln, burlington area natural light outdoor family portrait photographer
Working with this family was such a delight - and a long time coming! Mary initially got in touch with me about a year ago (that’s a long wait!). I always love working with other creative professionals (check out Mary's design work here: https://www.marylangerdesigns.com) and this was no exception. Besides, I don’t often get to photograph families with only older children, and I love it! Their 9 year old daughter was lovely, funny and a natural model, so much fun for the relaxed style of posing that I do with my clients. And I didn’t realize it until now, but as an only child girl as well, maybe that’s why this family dynamic felt so relatable!
We met at the Acton Arboretum for a golden hour session, on what can only be described as a perfect summer day.
Fair warning - if you wear a pretty, twirly dress to a portrait session with me (and you're under the age of 13 ;) I will ask you to twirl. And twirl some more. And some more.
Though everyone was perfectly sweet right off the bat, it didn’t take long for some silliness to come out. I never discourage silliness in my family sessions 😉.
Now, age 9 is a little hazy for me, but I don’t remember being this sweet and closely connected to my parents at the time! They had just the most beautiful connection. These mother-daughter shots are some of my favorite from this entire summer so far, I think. ❤️
And I always love getting the parents together at the end of the session for some couples time... seeing such a loving connection not just with their child, but with each other - it's the best.
Just a pleasure meeting and working with you guys, so glad we finally made it happen! Looking forward to working together again soon 🙂
